Welcome to FPC Preschool!
My name is Falon Speaks and I became the Director at FPC Preschool in July 2014. I grew up in Statesville, NC and attended Statesville Senior High School. I completed my BA in Communication Studies and Journalism from UNC Charlotte in 2006. I worked in non-profit for four years and then returned to UNC Charlotte to obtain my Master’s Degree in Education. I taught Kindergarten in Iredell-Statesville Schools for two years and then took a year off to stay at home with my first daughter. My family and I are members of First Presbyterian Church and we live in downtown Statesville. My husband’s name is Clay and we have two daughters, Harper and Hattie, who both attended FPC Preschool. We also have a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon named Freddie and a chocolate Labrador named Ozzie. I feel very honored and blessed to have been led to this role and to be a part of the FPC Preschool family. Our preschool was founded in the fall of 1965, and in 2015 we celebrated our 50th anniversary in which we have continued to have a happy and fulfilling relationship with the community and with our preschool families.
